Say 'Bonjour' to Gaston, our Porcaline Hound puppy!

Porcelaine Hounds are a rare French breed traditionally used for pack hunting, so Gaston is a typical scent hound - loud, stubborn and selectively deaf! He is looking for new owners who have some experience with scent hounds or who have done research on the breed type.

Gaston is an extremely affectionate boy and when he isn't running around playing with his toys his favourite place to be is snuggled up under a blanket next to somebody! As he is still a young puppy, Gaston is looking for a home with a secure, private garden where he can explore safely.

Gaston has spent some time in a foster home and we have found that he struggles with separation anxiety; his new owners will need to be at home most of the time to settle him in before starting to build up his time alone very slowly. He loves other dogs and has been more comfortable spending short periods on his own when left with his foster sister, due to this Gaston would love to live with another young, energetic dog who would enjoy his playful nature! If not living with another dog he will need some doggy friends who he can continue to socialise with regularly.
