More about Grape

Glorious Grape is looking for a loving home where he can rest his paws next to his humans. Grape is a sensitive soul who can be worried initially when meeting new people, but with a gentle approach he will warm up to people and become best friends - especially with food!

Grape requires some additional training to help him gain some basic skills to put in his "life toolbox". Staff here have been working on these and they need to continue in his new forever home. One of the areas is around clinical handling for vet treatments and Grape will need to be muzzled for veterinary treatment. He requires ongoing training to support and help him continue to build his confidence at the vets.

He has really benefitted from the use of calming touch, Thundershirts and other enrichment tools to help him relax as he can be unsettled when left alone. His new owners can help by using enrichment in the home to build up his independence. His new family will need to be patient and committed into guiding him in the right direction as we know he will blossom into this truly lovable gentleman. He's already showing us a snippet of what he can be.

Grape can be a little too keen at times to meet other dogs. After some direction and exposure to a variety of dogs onsite, we believe he will make lots of new canine pals once he is in his new home.

Grape has made a lot of progress in our care and will surely reward his new family with as much affection as they can handle!
