More about IVAN

Ivan is a gentle dog, based at our Old Windsor site, that loves attention and will try his best to be a lap dog for a snooze. If after reading his information you would like to know more about him, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk

Ivan loves his food and treats. He eats his meals in different food toys which he really enjoys. His high food motivation is a great way to aid training and help him settle into a new home.

Ivan has been spending some time in a temporary foster home, where he has settled in well and seems to take the sights and sounds of a new home in his stride. He especially likes to go out for walks and loves to play. He has mastered house training and has been able to be left alone for short periods.

His foster carer has described him as a lovely natured dog, full of fun, a real people dog, loves attention, both playing and having a fuss. He is very affectionate and gentle. He is also quite clumsy/uncoordinated, he has fallen off the sofa a few times!

He is looking for owners that can help him continue his socialisation with other dogs. He is looking to be the only dog in a home as he does not seek a great deal of interaction with other dogs and prefers steady walking friends. He can become overwhelmed by over-the-top dogs wanting to play.

Ivan has been friendly with everyone he has met here at Battersea Old Windsor but finds some aspects of clinic handling very stressful. New owners will need to help him build his confidence when going to the vets to make it a more positive experience.

Ivan is friendly dog looking for a quiet home where he can find a comfy spot to relax and take part in one of his favourite past times, napping.
