More about JASPER

Jasper is a spirited and lively Terrier cross who is looking for new owners who have had experience of owning dogs. He is based at Battersea Old Windsor.

He is full of character and is eager during training as he has a high motivation for food - Jasper has a couple of different areas that he needs to work on, and treats will be useful to continue his training and build bonds with his new owners.

Jasper has shown some intolerant behaviours towards other dogs that have been too much for him, he gives clear signs that he is uncomfortable and prefers his own space. We feel it is best for Jasper to be the only dog in the household due to this.

He is a sociable dog with people but has a bouncy side and is currently learning some manners. In his previous home, he liked gentle hands-on contact, he has an independent air but very loving and affectionate too to his special person. He is not a dog who will enjoy being picked up or cuddled, but he does like to lean on people for a fuss.

He was also described as being an excellent fly catcher with any insect that invades the home with his lightening reactions

Jasper will need a private garden to give him his own space to explore and stretch his legs without any dogs or distractions around, a good place to continue his training and build bonds with his new owners.

Jasper has a history of being housetrained, and he enjoys car journeys too.

With time, patience and understanding, Jasper will reward his new home with loyalty and make an enjoyable and addition to the family. If you are interested in rehoming him, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk or call 01784 494 443.
