More about JOLENE

Jolene is a bubbly Greyhound, based at our Old Windsor centre.
When Jolene was first with us, she was very worried of and sensitive to noise, and did not enjoy going for walks. She has spent some time in a foster home where she flourished – it has been so rewarding to see her confidence grow and her true personality emerge. She has been housetrained, travelled in the car and, with a consistent routine and knowing what is expected at home, she is settled and loves nothing more than sunbathing in the garden. She is very food motivated and although this is great for training, she does sometimes try to help herself at home! She is gentle with people and likes to be in the company of her foster carers, even if she just snoozes in the same room as them.
Jolene is playful with toys and will happily throw them around to have a game on her own, or chase them if you engage in play with her. She is food motivated and gets very excited, tapping her feet in anticipation if she knows there is a treat on offer.
Now that she is happy in areas she knows, Jolene looks forward to short walks in the park however when she goes to her new home, walks will have to built up slowly as she can put the brakes on. She sometimes stops to watch the world go by but can be encouraged to walk on again with a tasty treat.
Jolene thrives on having a good routine, and is now a really charming dog to have at home. Whilst she is likely to take a few backward steps in her new home, we are sure with a consistent routine and kind, patient owners, she will shine.
