More about Junie
Meet Junie our little Patterdale cross whose tail doesn't stop wagging.
Junie is a confident and friendly girl who loves nothing more than meeting new people. She will wag her tail constantly to begin with and enjoys some gentle fuss and attention.
She loves her food and will take it gently, offering a sit straight away to receive a treat. Junie is a busy and active dog so will require lots of mental and physical stimulation. She would benefit from going on varied walks to green spaces so she can explore and loves getting her nose to the ground and sniffing out new smells. She is looking for a home with a secure private garden to allow her the opportunity for off-lead enrichment.
Junie has shown to be friendly with the dogs she has met here at Old Windsor, but she can get worried if a dog gets too pushy or near her face. She is learning to move herself away when she is uncomfortable and is happier saying hello and then doing her own thing. Due to this, she is looking to be the only dog in her new home. New owners should carry on socialising her with calm steady dogs so she can build up her confidence and feel comfortable around them.
Junie can get excited and over enthusiastic when meeting people so would benefit from some training around this. She loves her food which can be utilised in her training.
Being a stray, she will need her time alone built up gradually. Junie has found kennel life stressful, especially when its noisy and busy and will try to dart out of the door, so may be a flight
risk when she gets into her new home. New owners can utilise stair gets to manage her around the front door and make sure the garden is completely secure.
Junie will make a lovey companion to go out and about with and explore new places.
Potential owners will need to speak with a Battersea vet prior to rehoming Junie.
