More about Kiara
Meet lovely Kiara!
Kiara was gifted in to Battersea as her previous owner could no longer keep her.
She is a typical Staffordshire Bull Terrier, meaning she is the biggest lovebug around! Kiara will seek out fuss from anyone and everyone and loves a proper cuddle. She has quite a lot of energy to spare and is a proper little pocket rocket, especially when it comes to toy play! She loves her raggers and tennis balls and will happily play for hours.
Kiara does have a sensitive side and can feel a little unsure around other dogs, preferring the company of calm, steady walking buddies. She can also find vet visits quite worrying and can turn into jelly and try to wriggle away, so she will benefit from ongoing, positive training to help build her confidence with clinical handling.
Kiara truly adores her people and can find being left alone upsetting, often howling or crying in her kennel. However, in her previous home she was able to settle when left alone. She is therefore looking for a family who can introduce time alone gradually and thoughtfully, particularly as she adjusts to her new home. Her new owners should be confident in reading canine body language and willing to continue building Kiara’s confidence around both other dogs and handling.
With patience, reassurance, and plenty of love, Kiara will make a wonderfully affectionate and fun-loving companion for the right family!
