Meet sweet little Dec.

Dec and his sibling Ant arrived as strays, so we have no history of their life prior to coming into kennels.

Since coming in, we have found Dec to be a worried, under-socialised boy with very little experience of the world, and can be nervous around new places and people. Once bonded, he's very affectionate, very into his people and if he could melt into your lap, he would!

Dec is tolerant of handling, but can be a little submissive and worried, often trembling and tapping out, especially during formal handling (such as the vet or the groomer). Informally, Dec loves being fussed all over. Due to his sensitive nature, if living with children, they will need to be older teens who can help build up his confidence around handling without overwhelming him.

Dec can be a little worried around new dogs, particularly the more animated and playful ones. However, his confidence has already grown during his stay and he can be a friendly boy with other smaller, steady dogs. He could live with another, calm, steady dog, that will help build his confidence in the world and give him space when needed.

Dec has so much love to give and is just in need of some confidence building with a new family willing to show him the world is not such a scary place (and give him all the cuddles he loves).
