More about Lars
Lars is a friendly and energetic Lurcher who loves to zoom around in our paddocks here at Battersea Old Windsor.
He is a younger dog and will benefit from training, learning a daily routine, as well as owners that have experience or knowledge of Sighthounds and their breed traits.
Lars enjoys playing with his toys and he particularly enjoys throwing around soft toys in his kennel. He likes to run after balls but currently doesn’t know how to fetch them.
He is learning housetraining and travels well in the car.
Although he seems confident and happy-go-lucky, Lars has an anxious side to his character especially when it comes to visiting new places. He'd like patient owners who are willing and able to go at his pace and introduce him to walks when he is confident, and who will not expect him to do long walks straight away.
Lars is friendly with other dogs of all sizes and breeds, he particularly enjoys a playful chase game when reciprocated. He is currently looking to be the only dog in his new home due to some resource issues with another dog indoors in a home. Lars would, however, benefit from being social with other dogs on walks
Lars knows a sit and is an enthusiastic pupil when it comes to wanting to please people.
Lars loves his food will take treats and food very gently, this can be a great way to help with any future training.
Lars is a loving and fun dog, who will need to be given some time to settle and acclimatise to his new home.
