More about Lion

Meet our lovely 4 year old Chow Chow, Lion!

This gentle, sensitive ball of fluff came to us due to a change in his previous owner's circumstances which meant that they felt they could no longer care for him properly or give him the attention he deserves.

He may look like his name sake but definitely doesn't live up to the name. He is a lovely gentleman who has been good with food, toys and handling! He is sociable with other dogs and, although initially worried of new people when he first arrived, he has come on leaps and bounds and his confidence around unknown people has grown.

He may be fluffy and may at times not give too much away, but you'll find that he's really a big softie at heart. New owners will need to help give him the reassurance and continue with his training to ensure he remains social with unknown people and dogs.

He is looking for a quiet, sensible home who have experienced with the chow chow breed or experience with aloof/guarding breeds who will have understanding of his quirks.

He could potentially live with another dog who will be a steady, social companion for him and he will also need a property with a secure garden and owners with a schedule that allows for his time alone to be staggered and built up gradually.

He has a good foundation of basics and does love his bonded people so after settling in he should pick his training back up relatively quickly and he has been super housetrained whilst being with us.

He is a loveable majestic boy who will give you endless hours of cuddles!
