More about Lionel

Lionel is a delightful and sensitive French Bulldog who is based at Battersea Old Windsor.

He came into us as a stray, so we do not have any history of what he has experienced before being in our care. Lionel finds meeting new people and walking around site worrying, he will need lots of time and patience to help him build his confidence and make friends. We feel it is best for his new home to be in a quieter location to continue his positive and slow exposure to the world.

Lionel has ongoing training to help build his confidence and continue positive associations to new environments and experiences. He has made friends with staff and once he is comfortable, he has shown to have an excitable and affectionate side to him.

During his time here he has been friendly and independent around other dogs. Lionel has had a couple of reactions to dogs on walks, and is less comfortable with male dogs. He will benefit from meeting calm dogs once he has settled in and new owners will need to allow Lionel to approach on his own terms to help continue his confidence building. We feel Lionel needs to be the only dog in the household due to this.

He has made lots of progress while being at Battersea Old Windsor and now is looking for his permanent forever home where he can settle and have all the training, care and patience he needs.
