More about LOKI
Meet lovely Loki our 2 year old Akita lad. He found his way to Battersea through no fault of his own, as he was found by a member of the public and brought in to us, we have no history as a result of this of his behaviour other than his brief time with his finder.
Loki has a brief but mostly lovely history with his finder, they did mention he didn't like to be on his own, that he was a little controlling with his play with a larger dog, although was able to take a tell off from a small dog, that he was a bit picky with his meals but was friendly with all known and unknown people.
Since arriving at Battersea Loki hasn't really been able to settle in his kennel or out and about on site. He has also been a little picky with his meals, but he has been playful with all the dogs he has met here on site if a little rude at time. He has also been a little avoidant but has tolerated all forms of handling, but particularly loves some calm hands on fuss from his known people, and even unknown people.
Loki would benefit from owners with experience of his breed and who are willing to put in training around and who have the confidence and strength to continue his handling desensitisation and socialisation with larger dogs. He has been very responsive to all the training here onsite and just wants the love of a new family.
Loki is typical Akita in as much as he doesn't give much away but underneath his stoic exterior is a lovable clown who wants all the cuddles he can get.
If you are interested in our handsome boy Loki, please contact the Rehoming team in London at: rehoming@battersea.org.uk, ensuring that you have first registered for rehoming on the Battersea website: https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming.
Please note that due to volume of enquiries we expect to receive, we will only be able to respond to homes that we feel best meet Loki's needs.
