More about Maui

Meet the lovely sensitive Maui.

Maui came to us with a nice history with people and dogs, however stating he was a bit unsure at times. With us, Maui has been far more more worried and can take some time to warm up to new people. New owners will need to be experienced with worried behaviours and be able to provide him with a quiet household where he can build confidence in his own time.

Maui has been very responsive to training and has learned a solid 'BED' cue to where he will go to his bed when new people enter a room and new owners will need a quiet household and be prepared to continue this training.

New owners will require experience with large guarding breeds and will need be confident with a dog of Maui's size and be able to keep him well socialised with other dogs & people.

To set up Maui was success, he would be most suited to a home away from the city where he can feel comfortable to expand his comfort zone slowly.

With time and patience, Maui will become a loyal companion turning any house into a home.
