More about MAY

May is an affectionate young Lurcher with a sensitive side. She is currently based at Battersea Old Windsor.

May has a spirited and excitable personality that has been slowly shining through during her time with us. Once comfortable she loves to zoom around our paddocks and play with her toys. To help her come out of her shell in the home, new owners will need to go slow and give her time to settle and build her confidence in different situations.

She has shown to be worried when on walks and in new areas. We feel it is best for May to live in a quiet location and her new home to have a private and secure garden. This will give her a safe space where she can go off lead and have her zoomies away from any distractions or worrying situations.

May has been friendly with everyone she has met, as she grows in confidence, May has shown her cheeky side and will most likely be a typical Lurcher in the home - scatty, playful and energetic. As a stray she will need to learn basic training, boundaries and navigating her new home environment.

Having met a variety of dogs, May has shown nice social skills, offering play bows and she is polite when greeting them. She enjoys a play and chase games with other dogs but has shown to be slightly worried when around over the top play styles and has moved herself away. We feel it is best for May to be the only dog in the household at this time, while she is still building up socialisation and confidence.
