Meet out sweet girl Maya!

Maya came to Battersea through no fault of her own. She is a sweet and affectionate lady, who loves to snuggle with her favourite people and makes friends quickly. Maya was sadly attacked by dogs in her history and so has developed to be a rather intolerant lady towards them or if being pestered for interaction. She has shown she just wants to do her own thing when out and about. As she doesn't get that much from other dogs, we feel she is best suited to being the only dog in her new home with her socialisation taking place outside. Due to showing some level of intolerance towards other dogs, Maya will need to be kept on lead in public spaces.

Maya has been stressed by all the noises she has encountered at our London site and her previous owner said she was jumpy around fast cars and motorbikes so owners should be mindful of this on walking routes.

When spending some time on foster, she has been the same sweet and affectionate lady as described in history! She settled in beautifully, enjoying naps on sofas and beds and seeking affection for all people, both known and unknown. She travels really well on public transport, settling nicely and being a friendly girl when meeting dogs out and about - going in for friendly greets and then moving herself away.

Maya is looking for new owners who will be able to give her the love and attention this sweet lady deserves. They will need to be understanding of her sensitive nature around other dogs. She is sure to be the loveliest girl in any home lucky enough to have her!
