More about MEL

Lovely Mel came to us via a Greyhound rescue as an ex-racer. Due to this, she will need to be kept onlead and muzzled on walks / in public areas. She walks very nicely on lead and she also wears her muzzle comfortably. New owners will need to continue her positive association to wearing her muzzle so she is always comfortable walking with one on.

Onsite, Mel has shown herself to be a very sensitive soul who has found life onsite to be quite overwhelming. She is worried when outside and is worried about life in general, preferring the comfort of her kennel to the outer world. She will need new owners who have experience with nervous/worried rescue dogs and who have the patience to help her settle into a home environment.

Mel has shown herself to be a friendly girl around other dogs, although at times she can be quite independent. She's very steady on lead and can prefer to do her own thing when off-lead with other dogs. For this reason, we feel Mel would prefer to be the only dog in the home at this time.

Mel is now ready for a new chapter in life. She will need time and patience to adjust to her new home but we are certain that once she is settled she will make a great companion in her new home.
