More about Milo

Meet Milo, a 5-month-old miniature dachshund with the biggest heart in a tiny body. He came to us with a very limited history so we know little about his life before Battersea. This wiggly little sausage is friendly, playful, and quick to make friends wherever he goes, and he has already shown (or rather, heard!) to have a lot to say--true to his breed, he can be quite vocal and will let you know when he is unsettled by something. Milo is a sensitive soul who loves a fuss, enjoys his toys, and is always ready to explore the world.

He’s still learning and growing, so he’ll thrive with patient owners who enjoy training and bonding, and are around all of the time as he is very young and dachshund puppies are prone to separation anxiety. Milo has already shown signs of anxiety around being left on his own, barking when being left.

He has shown to be friendly and playful with other dogs so would potentially benefit from a steady role model dog to show him the way. Milo would suit a loving home where he can build confidence and feel safe, and would hugely benefit from owners with prior experience of and eagerness to research the dachshund breed, as he has already started to exhibit typical dachshund traits. With gentle guidance and early training, he’ll grow into a wonderfully well-rounded companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, joyful pup with a keen scent-hound nose, intelligent brain, stubborn wit, and signature dachshund long body to share your days with, Milo is ready to steal your heart!
