More about Milo
Introducing the sweet little sensitive soul, Milo the cockerpoo!
Milo was very shutdown when he arrived in our care, it took him three days to leave his kennel and took him a while longer to make friends. However, with a sympathetic and patient approach, he forms strong relationships and looks to his known people for reassurance and a helping hand in a lot of situations that he finds worrying.
Toys were the key to opening this sweet boy's heart and allowed him to build bonds with us here at Battersea. He loves small soft toys and will chase after them and retrieve them and likes a gentle game of tuggy!
This little bean finds other dogs very worrying and would rather avoid other dogs. Due to this he is looking for a home with a low dog population, where he can be walked in quiet green areas. New owners should be realistic that Milo isn’t the type of boy who is ever going to be confident around other dogs and we have seen him be so nervous that he ran and hid under a parked car to avoid another dog.
In his previous home Milo was worried of new people, cowering away from male visitors and sometimes barking at men in the distance. He is looking for a home in a quiet location, ideally with people who have experience in very worried dogs and who understand body language to best support and help Milo flourish.
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Milo, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here (https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming).
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
