More about Monkey
Meet the little Monkey, our 2 year old female French Bulldog!
Sweet Monkey was found as a stray, wandering the streets in the recent extreme weather conditions and had to be whisked to clinic due to overheating. Due to such an eventful arrival to our kennels, Monkey was understandably a worried girl who needed to rebuild her trust in the new people caring for her. Initially, Monkey would hunker down in her bed, grumbling but when approached she would lift a forepaw and roll over and tap out, however with a little time and her favourite treats, it didn't take her long to come out of her shell and begin to make friends. Once Monkey has chosen you, you will know about it! She's super affectionate and playful but also loves to snuggle up with her people.
Monkey has been a calm and steady girl around other dogs, polite and friendly but generally independent and has been helping another dog overcome her fear of leaving her kennel.
Monkey is now ready to go to a new loving home, in any location as long as there are some quieter walking routes. She would like a garden but doesn't necessarily need one as long as new owners can provide her with ample exercise and stimulation. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home but could potentially live with a dog savvy cat, and she doesn't mind if her new owners are single, a couple or a family with children.
