Meet Nahlah, our super-friendly Dogue de Bordeaux cross!

Nahlah is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely adores her people. She loves cuddles and attention, often greeting her favourite humans with wiggly excitement and even her own “smile” - scrunching up her nose when she’s happy!

She came to Battersea because she was too strong on lead for her previous owners, though they described her as playful, loving, and well-behaved. Since arriving with us, Nahlah has made fantastic progress with loose-lead walking and recall, focusing well on her handlers and learning to stay calm around other dogs.

Nahlah is sociable with calm dogs but she can be a little nervous at first. She may get vocal when seeing other dogs on walks, but responds well to gentle, consistent guidance. She enjoys exploring and interacting nicely with canine friends, and just needs help to gain a bit more confidence in this area.

She’s looking for a quieter home, ideally with her own garden, and would thrive in a household where her training and care can be shared among several humans. Nahlah would prefer to be the only pet and, with her affectionate, playful, and loving personality, she’s sure to become a cherished companion and a joyful addition to any family!
