More about NANCY

Lovely Nancy arrived with us via another rescue, and was likely a racing Greyhound prior to this. True to her breed she has exhibited chase behaviours and so will need to be kept on lead and muzzled in public spaces.

Nancy has shown a variety of behaviours from sensitive with handling and rougher style play, to bouncy and excited around her people.

Similarly she has shown to be worried around some dogs and more fluid and friendly with others, though dog's don't seem to appeal to her as much as people do, unless they're small! Then they're really fun and Nancy struggles to contain her natural instincts which is to chase! She will need to continued work in this area.

With Nancy's background it's unlikely she's spent time in an environment other than kennels sadly. This means that most things will be entirely new to her so her new owners will need to be sympathetic and understanding of the time it may take to adjust to what we would consider a 'normal' home environment.

Nancy is looking for a mature home in a quiet location with a garden to call her own for all those zoomies she enjoys doing. She most likely will need someone around most of the time too since she's shown elevated stress when alone in kennels.

Nancy is a lovely lady with an sweet and affectionate nature. She will need new owners who are understanding of her worried side and are willing to help her through this and encourage her to be a brave girl in the outside world!
