More about Otter

Meet little Otter!

This sweet boy arrived at Battersea as a stray, meaning we have limited information on his history. Otter came to Battersea as a stray. The wardens who brought him to us described him as a friendly lad and onsite Otter has proven himself to be a lovely boy. In typical Dachshund fashion, can be a little needy with his people and can be a little vocal towards dogs when wanting to play!

He is an excitable boy who is wiggly with his people but can be stressed at times and has struggled to settle into kennel life. Often, he wants to be with his people and struggles when they leave. Therefore, he is looking for owners who can help him build on his confidence with alone time, and help him settle into home life.

As he has displayed traits commonly seen in the Dachshund breed (vocal and signs of separation anxiety), Otter would benefit from having owners who have experience of the breed or an understanding of their typical traits so as best to set him up for success.
