More about Ozzy

Meet Ozzy,

Ozzy is our lovely 2 year old Chihuahua who came into our care as a stray.

Since being with us, Ozzy has shown he has a worried side to him being a little cautious at first but is quick to warm up to meeting new people and dogs. He’s a little unsure with some of the more formal aspects of handling but comes around with a little food bribery afterwards.

He is a food motivated boy and we have used this to support him in all of the confidence building and training whilst here with us.
Ozzy has met a few dogs whilst with us. He shows a mix of behaviours, sometimes worried, others friendly. Ozzy seems more comfortable around the ladies than other boys so will need his new family to put some work in on his dog socialisation to help him gain confidence and make sure he’s not being overwhelmed. He may be able to live with the right dog match; a calm steady social dog that will give him his own space and help teach him socially acceptable behaviours.

Ozzy loves his bonded people but has shown some slight signs of separation anxiety and his new owners should build up his time alone gradually always leaving Ozzy with something positive to do when he is left alone to help him have more confidence in being left by himself.
Ozzy is looking for a home where he will receive all the love and attention he deserves. He’s got a lot of potential for those prepared to put in a little work.
