More about Peggy

Little Peggy is looking for her new forever home. She has unfortunately arrived at Battersea due to not getting on with another dog in the home and has struggled in kennels. She is looking for a warm loving home where she can enjoy her own human cuddles and nap times!

Peggy has previously shown to have resource issues when around other dogs, and therefore is not suited to live with another dog. She has however, shown to be great on lead walks with them whilst onsite at Battersea.
Peggy is a little sensitive soul and is quite head shy also where she has needed some patience and time with her staff to help her feel comfortable to be informally handled. She quickly warms up and once she does, she cannot get enough of the human interaction.

She is looking for a family who can provide her with some additional training in the home, who understand the importance of this and are willing to apply to her. She will need some time to adapt to her new environment where she can have a smooth transition from kennels. Peggy is a great character and with the right approach, being in a gentle manner, we know she will blossom in the home.

Due to behaviours seen with Peggy around other dogs and food, she would be better suited to make new friends away from busier places and not in places such as pubs or restaurants.

We know Peggy will flourish in a home with experienced owners who are dedicated into helping her come out of her shell and provide some training. Peggy has especially shown to be head shy and is nervous of hand gestures towards her, she has therefore had interactions which are more suited to her that she is more comfortable with, applying the training in a low pressure manner which she much prefers.

With continued training & experienced owners, this delightful girl is sure to be a great addition to the home.
