More about Pigsy

Meet our wonderful girl, Pigsy!

Pigsy has shown herself to be a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Although she's a large dog, she's a soft and sensitive soul who is looking for patient owners that can offer plenty of reassurance and encouragement as she builds confidence in her new life.
Pigsy has beautiful loose lead walking skills which makes her a dream to walk on lead!

Pigsy can be quite sound-sensitive and may feel overwhelmed in unfamiliar situations. She is looking for a quiet home in a peaceful location where she can truly relax and isn't surrounded by the hustle and bustle of busy environments. She will benefit from continuing some basic training and confidence-building with her new family, helping her learn that the world isn't such a scary place.

One of Pigsy's greatest strengths is her lovely social skills with other dogs. She is polite, respectful and reads canine body language beautifully, happily engaging in play when invited by suitable companions. She can, however, find boisterous dogs intimidating, so calm and considerate introductions will help her continue having positive experiences on her walks.

While in kennels, Pigsy has sometimes become startled by people suddenly appearing near her space and may bark when caught by surprise. She is therefore looking for owners who understand guarding breed traits and have experience supporting worried or sensitive dogs, helping her feel safe and secure as she settles into home life.

Pigsy is house-trained and would love a home with her own secure garden, giving her a familiar space to relax, explore and continue her training before venturing further afield.

Pigsy would most likely enjoy being the only dog in the home, allowing her to fully blossom, although a calm, polite and well-matched canine companion could be considered. She may also be able to live with a calm, dog-savvy cat and experienced older teenagers who can respect her space and gentle nature.

Pigsy is a truly special girl who simply needs someone willing to see the wonderful dog behind her worries. With patience, understanding and plenty of love, she will flourish into a loyal and devoted companion.
