More about POPCORN

Meet sweet Popcorn!

Popcorn came to us with his sibling from another rescue where they were described as being playful with each other!

With us, Popcorn has been quite a vocal lad, both in and outside his kennel. He is quite sound sensitive and can be spooked by sudden noises. He has also been a little shy when meeting new people but is able to make friends nicely with a calm and gentle approach. With other dogs, although he can be worried and vocal to begin with, he is slowly building up his confidence and becoming more playful. He could potentially live with another dog, provided they are a steady & confident role model for him and will not be too boisterous around him.

Popcorn is an Akita x Chow x Shar-Pei mix and will therefore be looking for owners who have experience with at least one of these breeds. New owners will need to be patient with him while he makes friends and will be able to provide him with the time and care a young boy like him requires in order to grow into a confident, social and happy dog. They should have researched his breed type thoroughly to know how to best meet his mental and physical stimulation needs as he is a really smart boy who loves learning new tricks! New owners should also have realistic expectations when it comes to taking on a puppy, being committed to all the required attention, training and socialisation that comes whilst the puppy adjusts to life in their new home.

Popcorn will need to live in a quiet location and have a secure garden for training.

We advise that Popcorn attends puppy socialisation classes with his new owners to help shape him into a well-rounded adult. He is sure to be the loveliest boy in any home lucky enough to have him!
