More about REMY

Introducing our handsome Boxer, Remy!

Remy found his way to Battersea as his previous owners could no longer care for him. He has stolen the hearts of his handlers here already!

Remy has a wonderful history, around both dogs and people, which is evident in his behaviour. His former owners noted that he enjoys cuddles but also has an independent side. He is eager to greet other dogs, but still shows his friendly nature!

Remy can be a little too enthusiastic with other dogs and thinks everyone wants to play with him. He can sometimes be a bit too much. Owners will need to be confident enough to socialise him constructively and put in lots of training around dogs and doggy manners before attempting to let him off lead.

Boxers are known for their high energy and quirky personalities. Being still young, Remy will need basic training in socialisation, following commands, and adjusting to a new life and routine. New owners should be aware that Boxers can be a bit stubborn, so patience and time will be essential during training. He would thrive as the only dog in an active home, with dog socialising taking place outside.

New owners must be prepared to do their breed research if they have not owned a boxer before, and ideally would attend juvenile dog training classes with him to set him up for success.

He will need a home where he can enjoy off-lead exercise in a secure garden while he's working on his manners. Remy is ready to bring joy and bouncy love to any household, so new owners should prepare for a playful boy, eager to share affection with his new family.

If you are interested in adopting Remy, please contact our Rehoming team in London at rehoming@battersea.org.uk, ensuring you have first registered on our website here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming before enquiring about a specific dog.

Please note that due to the volume of enquiries we receive, we may only able to reply to those homes that best meet Remy's needs.
