More about Riley
Riley is a sensitive soul who is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. Riley can be very worried outside and has struggled with lead walking due to Never being walked outside before arriving at Battersea.
Riley is looking for an adult only home in the countryside, with a private garden available to set him up for success.
He gains confidence from bonded handlers and calm dog friends who help him feel secure. Once he forms a bond, his affectionate and loyal nature truly shines through. Riley would benefit from walks with other dogs, and could even live with a dog of the right match.
Riley is showing behaviours similar to a puppy farm dog. This includes worried growls and high pitched alarm barking when he is unsure. New owners will need to be prepared for a long settling in period and for the possibility of his progress regressing before they get better during the settling in period. Riley needs space and a calm environment, with owners taking training at Riley's pace.
Riley enjoys exploring and loves a good fuss when he feels comfortable. He is looking for patient, understanding owners who will celebrate the small wins with him.
With time, consistency, and love, Riley will continue to grow into a confident companion.
