Say hello to our lovely Akita girl... Kita!

Kita came to us through no fault of her own as her previous owners' circumstances changed.

From her previous home, Kita was described as excitable with her favourite people. Although she loved the other dog in the home, she didn't love to share things with them.

Outside of the home she was much more worried by unknown people & children. Since she has shown a sensitive side in novel situations, we feel she would be best suited to live in a slightly quieter location, which would also mean fewer distractions for her during her training journey.

Here at Battersea, Kita has proven to be very true to the breed. She loves her known people but is a little more aloof with unknown people, though warms up quite quickly. She has shown to be a strong character around dogs, lacking in social skills; however she is learning to adapt and starting to show more playful behaviours.

Kita also has a very playful side - she really enjoys her toys and human interaction.

Kita is looking for a breed experienced, more mature, pet free home with a garden to burn off energy. As mentioned previously, fairly true to the breed, Kita's recall isn't the best and she can be chasey. However as Akitas go, she's a good example and will be a breeze for previously experienced Akita owners.
