More about ROBBIE

Robbie is an excellent example of a Labrador that always wants to tag along for an adventure. If after reading his information you would like to know more about him, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk.

Robbie has lived in a home his whole life, coming into a kennel environment has been a big adjustment for him and it might take some time to settle back into a routine in a new home. In his previous home he was a lovely family pet, enjoying long walks, had a great recall and could be left for short periods. It will take time for to get to know his new family and build up these areas again.

The love of Robbie’s life is toys, there will always be one in his mouth. He has aced the game of fetch but can be excitable and bark when wanting it to be thrown. He is picking up a ‘wait’ cue but still gets carried away, new owners will need to be comfortable handling and managing a larger dog.

Robbie could possibly live with another dog in the home, he has been confident with other dogs but he'd prefer to live with a steady confident dog that wouldn’t pester him for play. He is not looking for a play mate just a calm companion to share a home with.

Robbie is a well-rounded boy that is very typical of his breed. He is still very active and always been an excitable dog even his previous home, he is looking for owners that are looking for an active social companion to join their family.

We have seen Robbie be uncomfortable around aspects of handling, he loves fuss and affection and has been well behaved going to the groomers in his previous home. His new owners will need to be aware of his body language and go at his pace if he is feeling uncomfortable around formal handling.
