More about RONNIE

Meet out sweet boy Ronnie!

Ronnie came to Battersea as a stray so we sadly have very little information on his first few months of life, however during his time at the wardens, he did stay with a foster carer, their dogs and children before coming to us. His foster carer described him as a gentle soul who could be a little nervous when meeting new people, strangers and dogs, but was able to make friends quickly and be a sweet and affectionate boy! When on foster, he lived with two other dogs, who he had a great play with but could also show some sexual behaviours towards the male. On his first day at the foster carers home, he wasn't the biggest fan of sharing his pig ear, but has since shown no problems around his food.

With us, we have seen the same sensitive yet loving lad who took some time to warm up to people and his surroundings, but since settling in has been able to make friends with everyone he has met. He has shown to have some lovely social skills with other dogs, being a playful and friendly boy but also someone who can take natural breaks and be independent. Feel he could live with another dog who can have a nice play with him, matching his more bully-like playstyle, but also be independent and be able to have nice breaks.

Ronnie is looking for a home with owners with previous experience with nervous dogs or reading body language with a private garden. As an adolescent Cane Corso type, he still has a lot of room to grow and would benefit from new owners with previous experience with large guarding breeds. He is going to be the most lovely companion in any home lucky enough to have him!

If you are interested in our lovely Ronnie, please contact the rehoming team at: rehoming@battersea.org.uk, ensuring you have first registered for rehoming on the Battersea website: https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming.
Due to the volume of enquiries we receive, we may only be able to respond to homes most able to meet the needs of each individual dog.
