More about Rudy

Meet our charming Poodle Rudy.
Rudy arrived at Battersea a gift as his previous owners could no longer care for him.
He has a nice history in his prior home his owners noting that he was a loving and affectionate boy, friendly with everyone he meets and just wanting attention. He does however have a sensitive side, especially when it comes to handling and can be quite uncomfortable when having his paws or ears touched.
Rudy has shown to be a sweet yet sensitive soul while in our care.
He was quite overwhelmed when arriving and did have some growls at unknown people. He also showed to be quite worried and avoidant when new people would handle him. However as he has settled in and made some best friends he has shown to be a sweet and loving lad who just loves to be with his people. Rudy is quite uncomfortable with clinical handling so will need new owners who are willing to go slow and at his pace and teach him that vet visits are not so scary! Rudy also has a bit of a cheeky side and has in the past shown resource issues over high value food. He will need consistent boundaries put in place from day one in order to set him up for the best success in his home.
Rudy is looking for experienced owners and will need an adult only household. He would thrive in a home away from the inner city and would love access to his own private garden. Whilst Rudy likes other dogs and does have some good social skills in place, he will need to be the only dog in the home.

Rudy is the loveliest of boys with a heart of gold. With the right guidance and some patience we are sure he will make the most wonderful companion in any household lucky enough to have him.
