More about SCOOBY

Scooby is a loving Greyhound, based at Battersea Old Windsor. His favourite things include snoozing in cosy spots, exploring the great outdoors and chasing his toys - he’s got a knack for tossing them in the air. This affectionate dog is a people-loving sweetheart who greets everyone with a wagging tail and plenty of enthusiasm. He’s known to lean in for fuss when he wants some attention.

Scooby is currently spending some time in a temporary foster home and was confident when settling in. He has been house trained, sleeps through the night and loves having affection from his foster carers - he'll often watch where they are going to sit and then try to join them for a snuggle. He’s very settled and relaxed in the home and his foster carers really enjoy his gentle company. Scooby loves going for walks and happily trots along, stopping for sniffs along the way of course. He sometimes likes to help himself to slippers and will carry one around with pride.

Scooby would prefer to be the only dog in his new home, as he’s not always confident with some other dogs, however he would like some calm Sighthound buddies to walk with. We have put some training in place to help Scooby when he is walking and gets a bit worried, and his new owners will need to be happy to carry this on to support him further.

This clever lad is very food motivated which will help make training fun and rewarding. He knows 'lie down' and likes to demonstrate this for a treat.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion to brighten your days, Scooby might just be the dog for you. He’s ready to bring plenty of joy and laughter to his new family. To find out more please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk or call 01784 494 443.
