More about Star
Meet our shining Star!
Star came to Battersea as a stray, so sadly we don’t have any background history on this lovely lad.
Since arriving with us, he’s proven to be a very friendly boy who loves being in the company of his people. He has developed quite the fondness for tennis balls, so his new owners will need to manage this, to ensure it doesn't become an obsession, and that he doesn’t accidentally ingest anything.
When Star first came in, he showed a slightly worried side - particularly around noisy environments and when meeting other dogs. However, with time, he has made fantastic progress in building his confidence. He’s now a bouncy, playful boy both out and about and when interacting with other dogs. His new owners will need to continue his training, especially around his noise sensitivity. As he has shown some lovely social skills, he could potentially live with another dog who could tolerate his boisterous play style and help continue developing his social manners.
Star’s ideal owners will have some experience with larger breeds and feel confident managing him out and about. He would be best suited to either an adult-only home, or possibly with older teenagers, who can be involved in his ongoing training, as well as access to a private garden.
Star is a handsome, gentle giant who simply wants all the love and affection his people can give. He has already stolen the hearts of staff here at Battersea and is ready to steal his new owners’ hearts too!
