More about Ted

Ted is a charming and affectionate Cockapoo who is looking for a home that will appreciate both his sociable nature and his independent streak. In his previous home, Ted enjoyed plenty of fuss and attention from his family but was also happy to settle quietly in his own space when he wanted some downtime.

During his stay at Old Windsor, Ted has shown himself to be calm and easy-going around other dogs. While he will occasionally be playful, he much prefers dogs who respect his space and share his relaxed outlook on life. Ted could live with a calm dog who will not need constant interaction. He particularly enjoys carrying his toys around and would benefit from a friend who is not overly interested in toys and will allow him to enjoy them in peace.

Ted enjoys getting out and about on his walks. He would thrive in a moderately active home that can provide him with regular exercise, opportunities to explore, and plenty of time for sniffing and investigating his surroundings. Ted has been housetrained both in his previous home and during his time at Old Windsor. Access to a private secure garden will be essential to help maintain his established habits and provide him with an outdoor space of his own.

Ted is an intelligent dog who will benefit from owners who are committed to continuing his training and helping him navigate the world with confidence, as he does show elements of worry in some situations. He finds being around children stressful and would like walks in slightly quieter places where things are fairly predictable. When meeting new people Ted is generally friendly and sociable, but it is important that he is able to approach people in his own time, helping him feel comfortable and secure.

Ted is searching for a home that can offer him a balance of companionship and enrichment. In return, his new family will gain an endearing companion who enjoys life's simple pleasures, whether that's exploring on a walk, carrying his favourite toy around the garden, or relaxing alongside his favourite people.
