Meet our adorable little Tide!

Tide is a gentle, sweet Shih-Tzu lady, who came to Battersea after many years in her home, due to a change in her owner's circumstances. Sensitive but affectionate, she's now looking for an adult-only home where she can have all the love and attention she deserves.

Tide can be wary of handling, especially in formal settings like vet visits, where she has shown signs of discomfort. She'll need patient, experienced owners who will let her settle in completely before handling her and to ensure to read her body language and use gentle, positive training to help build her confidence over time.

A private, secure garden would be best for Tide, both for her ongoing house training and to support her confidence building in a calm and familiar space. She would also benefit from a home with quieter walking routes to help her build in confidence out on walks, especially during her settling in period. Tide does enjoy her walks so will need new owners who can take her out for daily walks.

Tide will need to be the only dog in the home. While she has been sociable with smaller dogs, she is quite worried by larger dogs and isn't keen to interact with them; she much prefers her own company and doesn't actively seek out other other dogs on walks to engage with. Tide is a sweet soul who deserves a loving home where she can feel safe, supported, and truly cherished. Is the Tide coming in for you?
