More about TREVOR

Trevor is a gentle natured and very endearing dog who is residing at our Old Windsor centre, looking for a quiet, calm, settled home where he can begin to build his confidence. If after reading his information you would like to know more about him, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk

Trevor is worried by lots of things, including new places, noises and people he doesn't know, however he is slowly getting more confident and needs kind and patient owners who are willing to take things slowly and at his pace.

Trevor is friendly and affectionate once he knows you and will lean in for a fuss. He is food motivated so this is a great thing to use for his training and to help him feel more comfortable around people.

Trevor is easily startled and is currently a flight risk if he gets scared by something. He needs to live in a quiet location where he can have quiet on-lead walks without the worry of lots of people, traffic and noise. He will also need his own secure garden where he can potter and have some off lead exercise - his owners may not be able to let him off lead on a walk for a while.

Trevor needs to live with existing dog/s in his new home, as this really helps his confidence. He can at first be worried of dogs but, if they are gentle and respectful, he gains in confidence quickly and enjoys playing and a game of chase. Any dog he lives with needs to be confident, as he needs a good role model.

Trevor's new owners will need to be happy to give him plenty of support as he gets used to a new home, as this is going to take some time. He will not cope with too much too soon and as such we have said for him to live in an Adult Only home. Trevor has not had a great start in life, but so deserves his happy ending.
