More about TYSON

Meet our scruffy pug mix, Tyson - sweet as cherry pie!

Tyson came to Battersea due to a change in his owner's circumstances. He had a lovely history in his previous home, and loved having a fuss from his people. He would sometimes bark when meeting new people, but was friendly with everyone he met.

Since coming to us, Tyson has been a little worried and shut down in his kennel, but has come out of his shell the more he has settled in. He enjoys his walks and, when given some time and space to bond, he is a sweet little man who enjoys snuggling up in his people's laps and chomping some snacks.

He has spent a little time on foster with staff and has started to come out of his shell, but still has a way to go in building up his courage overall. He is in need of some confidence building around new people and handling, as although he does tolerate these, he can still be quite unsure

He's generally a little worried and avoidant when meeting other dogs on-site. However, he did once become quite playful with a smaller dog. New owners will need to build up his confidence gradually around other dogs, and to advocate for him if another dog is being a bit too much. On foster, Tyson has started to show signs of wanting to play, but is still a bit unsure and needs a little gentle guidance to further develop his social skills.

Tyson is looking for new owners with previous experience with worried dogs who, can help build his confidence in his new home. Tyson would be a wonderful addition to any family looking for the perfect fluffy, cuddly hot water bottle.
