Meet our little handsome lad, Vinnie!

Vinnie came to Battersea when his previous owner was no longer able to meet his needs. He’s a lively little dog with a playful spirit, a love of zoomies, and a genuinely sweet, affectionate side that really shines through once he feels safe and settled. With familiar people, Vinnie can be great fun to be around and enjoys playtime and gentle fusses.

However, Vinnie can find some situations overwhelming, particularly around handling and busy home environments. He can also be wary of unfamiliar faces and prefers his own space at first, choosing to interact only when he's ready. Since being in our care, Vinnie has been meeting a variety of people and has shown encouraging progress, highlighting his potential to continue improving in the right home with consistent guidance.

Vinnie will need a calm home environment where he is the only dog. He isn’t comfortable interacting with other dogs and would prefer a home where he can relax and adjust without any pressure. Although he hasn’t lived with cats before, Vinnie has shown himself to prefer his own space and we would recommend he is the only pet in the home.

Vinnie is looking for an experienced and understanding home, with new owners who are committed to ongoing training, will advocate for him around strangers and can provide consistent routines and clear boundaries. He is also looking for an adult-only home with a secure private garden, and will need to be kept on lead when out and about. Due to showing some over-bonding behaviours in history, this little man is also looking for a home with more than one carer. In return, he offers a fun, affectionate, and engaging personality, and the opportunity to build a truly rewarding bond as he continues to grow in confidence.
