We recommend that as a first step you contact your Local Authority whose responsibility is to manage stray dogs. Please visit Report a stray dog - GOV.UK to find the contact details.

If out of hours, and customer is concerned the dog is injured/unwell. We recommend that you contact a vet that can provide 24-hour care. Search “24-hour emergency vet near me” or use the following website to locate nearby veterinary practices .

If the cat is approachable please take them to your local vet where they will be able to scan for a microchip with the owner's details. We have additional advice on our website which will help you determine if the cat is stray.

If after visiting the vet, you still need assistance then please contact us on 0800 001 4444 so we can discuss this with you.

Please keep an eye on our website. We suggest checking it in a week’s time and if you still need our help, filling out an intake registration form.

It’s important to understand that we do operate a waiting list to ensure we have space and capacity to respond to emergency cases of dogs needing our help. This means we may not be able to take in your pet for some time depending on your circumstances.

We’d advise you to contact other rehoming centres so that you can receive the help that you need as soon as possible.

We recommend checking our website in one week’s time and filling out our intake form then.
