With Her Majesty The Queen Consort’s very own Battersea Jack Russell Terriers Beth and Bluebell taking up residence in the Royal Household, the leading animal welfare charity’s latest figures reveal that Jack Russells were among the top 5 most popular breeds to be rehomed from its three centres last year.
Pat is an experienced Board Director having served in an executive and non-executive capacity in the public, private and charity sectors. Previous roles include Non-Executive Director at HMRC and The Financial Ombudsman, Regional Board Member at The Princes Trust, and a member of the Advisory Board at HCA Healthcare UK.
Pat’s most recent Executive role was VP Marketing and Sales at HCA Healthcare UK, prior to which she had 20 years’ experience in marketing and corporate communications including as Group Marketing Director at BUPA and Head of Brands Management at British Airways. She has also set up her own consultancy business, advising organisations on corporate and brand communications.
Pat is currently Chair of Assistance Dogs UK and of The Perceval Almshouses, and previously was Vice Chair of Guide Dogs. She is a lifelong dog owner, including of her current rescue dogs Jamie and Hugo.

Animal lovers have raised over £90,000 by taking part in Battersea’s Muddy Dog Challenge - one of the UK’s biggest obstacle courses where members of the public can take part with their dog.
