Goodwoof

This year Battersea were thrilled to be the official charity partner of Goodwoof 2026! We had a wonderful time on the Goodwoof Estate on the 16th and 17th May and, as this year focused on celebrating rescue dogs, it was the perfect partnership!

Battersea are thrilled to announce that we have been chosen to be the official charity partner for Goodwoof 2026! This year will focus on celebrating rescue dogs, making it the perfect partnership!

Goodwood is a dog event like no other. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Goodwood, West Sussex, the event offered guests the chance to celebrate everything we love about our canine companions.

The iconic event offered a wide range of activities and demonstrations designed to delight, entertain and inform. Thousands of humans and dogs took part in world-class competitions featuring top canine athletes, wellness workshops, talks and free activities.

Our Battersea team had great fun running activities such as Spin the Wheel and we were lucky enough to be joined by Great British Bake Off finalist Dave Friday who ran biscuit icing workshops all weekend!

Our wonderful Operations Team also joined us in the Battersea tent to answer questions on rehoming a rescue dog and give advice on canine behaviour. They also gave interactive, myth-busting talks on the Training and Behaviour Stage, promoting the benefits of adopting rescue dogs and explaining how we find the perfect matches!

The event was sponsored by our long-term partners Mars Pet Care and they took the opportunity to raise more money for Battersea, with a fun interactive experience, inviting festival-goers to share their honest and humorous ‘pet parent confessions.’ People were encouraged to share just how far they would go for their pet, and Mars donated £5 to Battersea per confession.

The wonderful weekend was rounded off with the Barkitecture – a unique competition where designers and architects are invited to design kennels based on a theme. This year’s was ‘Dogs in Space’ and the designers did not disappoint! Sixteen beautiful kennels were created with entrants including LEGO, Conran and Partners and Randell Design Group. On Sunday afternoon all the kennels were auctioned off, raising an incredible £21,080 which was donated to Battersea.

We’d like to thank The Goodwood Estate and His Grace, The Duke of Richmond, for choosing to partner with Battersea for Goodwood 2026. A wonderful amount of money was raised and events like GoodWoof don't just raise vital funds, they help us reach new audiences and keep the conversation around animal welfare front and centre. We are so grateful to everyone who made it such a special weekend.
