Tosca was a black Labrador. We adopted her from the RSPCA in 2013 - it was the best day of our lives.

We first met her when a volunteer was walking her and took her in a small little garden. We spotted her straight away. She looked so happy to see us and we just knew she was ours.

She came to live with our family. At first she was a shy little thing, but over the years her confidence grew. She loved going to the park and for a walk down to the beach. She was so loving and gentle, always happy, barking and wagging her tail. We can't believe she isn't here anymore. She was such a big part of our family.

I stayed with her downstairs at night for nearly a year. I promised her I was going to be with her right to the end. I woke up to her having a seizure and took her to the vets. I knew it was time to say goodbye. We held her as she went to sleep, gave her a kiss and let her go to heaven.
