In loving memory of Belle

2016 - 2025
We adopted our little chihuahua, Belle. from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 27/07/19. Belle was removed from her mother at 5 weeks of age and taken to a flat, where she remained for 3 years. Having never had even a glimpse of the world, everything was new, strange and frightening. We were informed by Battersea that Belle had a long way to go with a future of obstacles to overcome and that she would forever remain a nervous dog. We were the ultimate match of the right dog in the right home. Belle blossomed but was never a social butterfly. She didn't show any interest in dogs and gave cats a wide berth. Most people were okay, until they dared ring the doorbell. Belle perfected selective socialisation. Sadly, Belle was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last year and within 4 months, she passed away. Belle is irreplaceable and although she was a tiny dog; the void she has left within our home and lives is enormous. Just recently I was contacted by Battersea and I was able to warmly and wholeheartedly say yes to searching for a four legged family addition. Fingers crossed that we have the good fortune of being the right home for an amazing right dog again.
