When I was little, I was given a book about Battersea Dogs Home. Although we were unable to have a dog while I was growing up, I use to dream of the day I could visit Battersea and rescue a dog. 

Many years later, in 2005, I did just that. Star, my lovely Battersea boy. A misunderstood, troubled, scared of most things border collie. You rescued a misunderstood, troubled, but fearless human and together for 11 years you made my Battersea dream a reality. 

My first ever dog, but not my last. My loyal, loving, brave one of a kind. You will forever be in my heart big champ. All my love, always.
