Loveable greyhounds Arnie and Cassie arrived at Battersea from another rescue. Despite coming from the same centre, the pair hadn’t spent time with one another, but they soon became firm friends and built a special bond by going on walks together at Battersea. The adorable duo soon became inseparable, even spending some time in a dedicated foster home together.
The pair bonded over their love of tennis balls and put their racing legs to the test running after them. Battersea staff could see that when they were together, they were able to grow in confidence and were more affectionate. Due to their racing background and a lack of experience in a home environment, they were placed on a training plan to set them up for success. Through your support, Arnie and Cassie learnt valuable recall commands, house-training and positive muzzle association due to their breed’s high chase drive.

While in foster care, they continued their training and before long, their individual personalities began to shine. Cassie quickly proved herself to be the chatterbox of the pair; always curious about what the humans around her were doing and eager to join in. Arnie, on the other hand, preferred to take a more relaxed approach; having a nice long snooze is at the top of his daily to do list, followed by cuddles.
After almost five months in our care, Arnie and Cassie were happily rehomed together and are now continuing their love story in scenic Suffolk with their new family.
