Two-year-old British Shorthair, Casablanca, arrived at Battersea after being found on somebody’s doorstop. Initially shy and scared, she would hide at the back of her pen and would struggle to eat. Recognising that she needed time to settle into the cattery, Battersea’s skilled team introduced a behavioural care plan to help her feel happy and safe.
With time and patience, lovely Casablanca began to flourish. She started to make friends with dedicated staff and volunteers, accepting head rubs and playing with her favourite string toy. Her appetite improved, and Dreamies quickly became her favourite. Thanks to supporters like you, Casablanca received the expert care and gentle encouragement she needed to be ready for her new home.
