Sweet Dec was found as a stray, tied to a gate outside of Battersea. As a result of this, Battersea had very little history of Dec’s life before coming into kennels. On his arrival, Dec received a thorough medical check from the skilled team in clinic before moving into the kennels.
Primarily, poor Dec seemed very shy. The dedicated team at Battersea found that Dec was quite worried and under-socialised, with very little experience of the world around him. He initially seemed quite nervous and hesitant around new people and new places. So, the team put together a care plan to help build Dec’s confidence and gently introduce him to new experiences. Gentle Dec also enjoyed time in the offices at Battersea.

With time and dedication from the teams at Battersea, sweet Dec started to come out of his shell. He bonded with his carers and started to show off his true affectionate and people-loving nature. The team found that Dec often loved to climb into people's laps to enjoy a fuss.
It wasn’t long before delightful Dec found his loving home, where he continues to flourish.
