Jellybean's Story

01 Oct 2025

Seven-year-old Domestic Shorthair Jellybean unfortunately had two stays at Battersea, through no fault of her own. Jellybean originally came into our Old Windsor centre due to a change in her owner's circumstances.

When she first arrived, she was quite shy, but with time and patience, she blossomed into an affectionate cat with her trusted carers. Jellybean enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: curling up on a warm lap, chasing string toys, and indulging in a delicious treat or two.

Due to her long stay in the cattery, Jellybean moved into a foster home with one of our dedicated foster carers. In a home setting, she was able to relax a bit more, mornings were spent curled up in bed, afternoons napping on a lap, and evenings making biscuits on the sofa.

Though she could occasionally swipe when felling unsure, liking affection on her on terms, Jellybean showed that with time, security, and a quiet environment, she had all the makings of a perfect companion.

At the end of June, after 242 days in our care at Battersea Old Windsor, Jellybean finally found a loving new family that matched her needs. She now goes by the name Coco and is enjoying a peaceful life in her new home.
