Terry came to Battersea as a stray in poor condition, so his early life was a mystery.
When he arrived at Battersea, Terry was sadly very underweight. Battersea’s skilled clinic team discovered Terry’s eyes were cloudy and he was having mobility issues with one of his legs. Fortunately for Terry, further investigations revealed that the cloudiness in his eyes was a natural age-related change and the slight lameness in his leg healed with gentle exercise during his time at Battersea. Terry also began to find a new passion for eating heartily and he slowly began to put on weight.
Despite not being in the best physical condition, Terry had a zest for life and was keen to show off his friendly side to his Battersea carers. He became known as the distinguished gentleman of the kennels with his excellent manners around people and other dogs. True to his Boxer breed, Terry is a very intelligent dog, taking training and brain games in his stride. Terry needed plenty to keep him stimulated and Battersea’s expert behaviour team knew that he would need an experienced home to continue his training and provide him with a loving environment where he could thrive.
Terry's ideal day is one filled with lots of cuddles on the sofa, long walks, and fun training and brain games and after a few weeks in Battersea’s care he was lucky enough to find a loving new family in Sussex to give him all that and more.
