Academy Online is our free e‑learning platform for people working to improve the lives of dogs and cats around the world.
To get you set up with the right type of account, we just need to know one thing.
Are you eligible to create an Academy Online account?
You can create an account and access courses, resources and training if you work or volunteer with:
- Dog and/or cat shelters (UK or international)
- Foster‑based rehoming organisations
- Dog and/or cat population management groups
- Community Engagement Organisation offering community services such as vaccinations, rabies elimination and education programmes.
- Sector membership bodies (e.g. ADCH, ADCWO‑SA)
- Sector supporting organisations (e.g. ICAM, International Cat Care, GARC, AFA Dog & Cat Coalition, EU Dog & Cat Alliance)
- Local government teams in the UK, Sri Lanka or Greece
- Assistance Animal Organisation (e.g. Assistance Dog Coalition)
- Advocacy organisations.

If your organisation isn’t eligible right now, you can still stay connected. Join our mailing list and we’ll keep you updated as new learning opportunities become available.
This includes people working, volunteering or studying in:
- Educational institutions (colleges, universities, vet schools)
- Public sector organisations (national government, police, military, public health, housing associations)
- Other charities and NGOs (including non‑dog/cat animal welfare organisations)
- Dog and cat service providers (private vets, boarding kennels, catteries, pet sitters, groomers, behaviourists, trainers, dog walkers, breeders)
- Battersea staff, volunteers and foster carers.
